Reducing Risks to Cities

Here’s a free brief from the IIEE (International Institute for Environment and Development) entitled - “Reducing risks to cities from climate change; an environmental or development agenda?”

Adapting Cities to Climate Change

The report summarized a lot of the issues surrounding the expected impact on lowlying cities and nations.  It’s only 6 pages, and is good background for those interested in the impact on society.   That should be about everyone interested in climate change, since it is estimated in the report that 600 million people around the world live within the 2% of earth’s landmass that lies within the first 10 meters (approximately 33 feet) of ocean rise and heightened storm and tidal surge.
