Encyclopedia of Earth

Here is (in it's own words) "an electronic reference about the Earth, its natural environments, and their interaction with society. It is a free, fully searchable collection of articles written by scholars, professionals, educators, and experts who collaborate and review each other's work. The articles are written in non-technical language and will be useful to students, educators, scholars, professionals, as well as to the general public."

EoE seeks to fill the need for centralized, concise, understandable and most of all, authoritative material on the earth and our interaction with it.

So let's link you to the Encyclopedia of Earth here in a 'spawned' window so that we don't lose your attention completely. It is that good, and there is that much material there that we hope it will be the beginning of much time you will spend there.
