Drafts
As you know, the word ‘draft’ has several meanings. So we’ve got two good suggestions to place here on the same page, unrelated other than both will reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and both hinge on the same word, though different meanings.
A ‘draft’ is a leak of air between some ‘inside’ and ‘outside’ of a vessel or container. Much energy is spent heating and cooling the air within our containers, or rooms, of various sorts. So leaks, or drafts, represent a loss or waste of energy, and thus usually of the fossil-fuels and carbon dioxide emissions by which that temperature differential was created. So a lot of energy can be saved, at home, office, church, school or other places, by searching for air leaks (drafts) and fixing them.
Much of the hunting for air leaks can be done by ordinary people with common tools. Here are some tips and tricks.
